At North Country Veterinary Clinic we recommend only the vaccines that are indicated for each pet based on their environment and life style.

For dogs we recommend the "core" vaccines for  DAPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus and Para influenza) and Rabies.

  •    Puppies DAPP start at 8 weeks then boosters at 12 and16 weeks then at one year. 3 year boosters are given thereafter.

  •    Unvaccinated adult dogs are given an initial DAPP then a booster in 4 weeks. Another booster is given one year later and 3 year boosters are given thereafter.

  •    Rabies vaccination in dogs must be at least 12 weeks old, a second booster is given one year later and 3 year boosters are given thereafter.

For dogs "non-core" vaccinations we offer  Bordetella, Lyme, and Influenza.  After an initial vaccination these are given yearly.

For cats we recommend the "core" vaccines for FVCRP (Rhinotracheitis, Calici, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia) and Rabies.
